About GIASA

The Gas Installer Association of South Africa (GIASA) is an independent industry association established to promote the interests of LPG installers and related stakeholders. Their mission is to foster safe, compliant, and professional gas installation practices, while representing the collective voice of the industry.

GIASA represents hundreds of members, including installers, suppliers of gas equipment and appliances, and respected industry leaders. The association continues to grow every day, providing members with valuable resources and a strong community network.

What They Do

Promote and Protect Installers – Representing the interests of LPG installers throughout the industry in Southern Africa.
Support Standards and Compliance – Encouraging industry-wide adherence to South African legislation and standards, including involvement in  audits, guidance, forensic gas invetigations and education.
Education and Training – Delivering continuous training to gas installers, keeping members up to date with changes in technology, standards, and best practices.
Industry Representation – Promoting the installer industry to government, the public, and related sectors through lobbying and awareness campaigns.
Technical Contribution – Participating in SABS working groups and technical forums to contribute expertise on gas installation requirements and specifications.
Collaboration – Building relationships with other industry associations, stakeholders in the gas sector, and municipal fire prevention officers.
Knowledge Sharing – Disseminating accurate, practical information to the industry and running platforms for healthy debate and discussion to advance skills, knowledge, and professionalism.
